First Flight Georgia awarded Lila Rose and Hayden, two Bulloch County students, with a scholarship of $3000 each. The scholarship will be used for flight time and instruction toward their Private Pilot Licenses. The flight instruction will be provided by Low Country Flight Company at the Statesboro-Bulloch County Airport. Congratulations to Lila Rose and Hayden!
More than 100 local children took to the skies for their first-ever flight experience at the Statesboro–Bulloch County Airport during First Flight Georgia’s Thrill of the First Flight community aviation event on October 25. Local pilots volunteered their time and aircraft to take young passengers on short discovery flights, hopefully igniting a love and appreciation of aviation.
